Our founding member, Dr. Maria Belén Espiñeira, participated as speaker in the seminar organised by the ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONALE DES JEUNES AVOCATS (AIJA) and the INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION (IBA), in Valencia, Spain, from September 29th to October 1st, 2022.
The sessions addressed relevant issues —within the framework of the theme “CHARTERING THE TWENTIES”— affecting the maritime and air transport communities, both from public and private perspectives.
It was a great experience in which the attendees had the opportunity to explore and analyse current topics, such as bankruptcies, IMO 2020 and its implementation by different countries, flag aspects and the effects of virulent diseases, together with an outstanding team of law and industry professionals.
Dr. Espiñeira´s presentation dealt with CURRENT ISSUES ON FORCE MAJEURE IN THE TRANSPORT INDUSTRY and the interpretation given to this events by Argentine judicial precedents.
